Though very unlikely it is possible that our transportation service from
Prairie du Chien to Phelps will not arrive in
Phelps or be able
to begin the main check in and opening meeting by 5:00 pm. If this happens
we will begin the main check in and opening meeting very shortly after the
transportation service arrives in Phelps.

We will not offer any on road support services on Saturday. Our first day
of supported cycling will be on Sunday.
Phelps to
Tomahawk Century Option
On Day 1 (Sunday morning), riders will have the option to complete
a century ride (100 miles). You'll begin by heading north out of Phelps,
cross the Wisconsin-Michigan state line, and continue a few miles into
Michigan’s Upper Peninsula before turning around in Land O' Lakes and
following the same route back. Along the way you’ll pass Lac Vieux
Desert lake, the headwaters of the Wisconsin River. After returning to the
main lodging
site
in Phelps,
you’ll
find a staffed rest stop waiting for you.
From there, you’ll continue
by following the base route from Phelps to Tomahawk. Completing the century
option means you can proudly say you
biked not only the full length of the Wisconsin River, but also across
the entire state of Wisconsin.
All century riders must depart
Phelps at the route opening time
of 6:30 am due to manpower, vehicle, and route-timing constraints. |
