Main Check In and Opening
Meeting
The main check in will begin at 5:00 pm on Saturday at the Eagle River main lodging site, and the opening meeting will immediately follow the main
check
in. The
opening
meeting
should
conclude
around
6:00 pm,
which will still give you plenty of daylight to set up your tent and sleeping
bag if you haven't already, get dinner, get any last minute mechanical work
done on your bike, and get ready for the ride the next day.

Though very unlikely it is possible that our transportation service from
Prairie du Chien to Eagle River will not arrive in
Eagle River or be able
to begin the main check in and opening meeting by 5:00 pm. If this happens
we will begin the main check in and opening meeting very shortly after the
transportation service arrives in Eagle River.

from Prairie du Chien to Eagle River.
We will not offer any on road support services on Saturday. Our first day
of supported cycling will be on Sunday.
Eagle River to Tomahawk
Century Options
There will be two separate route options if you want to ride an optional
century (100 miles) on Sunday. Both routes will stop
at
our
rest
stop
in Phelps
then ride back to our main lodging site in Eagle River for a rest stop there,
and proceed to follow the base
route
from Eagle River to Tomahawk.
Land O' Lakes Century Option
On Sunday morning we will transport you and your bicycle
from Eagle
River
to
the Forest
Lake Country Store in Land O' Lakes, WI where you will start your ride
on the Land
O' Lakes bike path. From there you will bike past Lac
Vieux
Desert
lake, the headwaters of the Wisconsin River, to our rest stop in Phelps.
You will also cross the Wisconsin/Michigan state line and bike for a couple
miles in the upper
peninsula
of
Michigan, and truly be able to say you not only biked along the entire
length of the Wisconsin River but also the entire state of Wisconsin!
If you want to ride the Land O' Lakes century option you will need to pre-register
and pay $25.00 for our Land O'
Lakes
Century
Option
Transportation Service. All bicycles must be loaded onto one of our
support
vehicles
on Saturday
evening. We will depart the Eagle River main lodging site
at 6:00 am Sunday morning and stop at the Eagle River hotel
on our way out of town. The trip to Land O'
Lakes
should take
about 30 minutes and we expect you will start riding by 7:00 am at the latest,
including the time to unload bikes.
We will not have a rest stop set up in Land O' Lakes so you will need
to load up on snacks, Gatorade, etc. before you leave Eagle River. There
will also be an additional $30.00 fee to transport bicycles that require
special
handing and care (recumbents, e-bikes, tandems, etc.) However a tandem bicycle
will
not incur an additional fee if both
people riding
it
register
for the transportation service. Trikes (any bicycle with more than two
wheels) are not allowed due to our inability to easily and quickly transport
them. If you register for the Land O' Lakes Century
Option
Transportation Service and
later decide
not to do it we cannot give you a refund.
In order to transport everyone to
Land O' Lakes
we may need to rent a school bus immediately after
the regular registration closes - unfortunately we must do so then due to
bus availability. Accordingly, after the regular registration closes the
price
for the
Land O' Lakes Century
Option
Transportation Service will double to $50.00 and we cannot guarantee availability
after then.
Phelps Loop
The other century option will be to ride from Eagle River up to
our rest stop in Phelps, turn around, and then
ride the same route back to the Eagle River main lodging site.
You must arrive at the Phelps rest stop before it closes
at
9:45
am
and we strongly recommend
departing Eagle River when the route opens at 6:30 am. This option will be
longer
than
the
Land O' Lakes option, but and
you won't need to
pay
any
extra
money
for
the transportation service or have your bike loaded Saturday evening and
you will be
able
to
get
a slightly
later start on Sunday morning.
Please note that we will no longer be able to support anyone
who also wants to ride a double metric century between Eagle
River, Phelps, and Land O' Lakes due to manpower, vehicle, and route
timing constraints.
