2022 Registration Procedures
for Postponed 2020 Participants
Hi everyone, we wanted to let you know how to register for
our current events by applying your credit from the events we had to
postpone
in 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic. We want to offer you as much accommodation,
flexibility, and transparency as
possible,
and make the process as easy as we possibly can to apply your
credit moving forward.

Online Registration Through RaceRoster.com
Even though you had previously registered in 2020, we still need you to
re-register for this year’s events through our online registration system
at RaceRoster.com. Unfortunately all registrations must be completed online,
we cannot accept any registrations for postponed participants through paper
forms. The only
exception
will be
for
volunteer
registrations, we will contact you separately
if you
had
originally
registered
on a volunteer
basis in 2020.
Credit Amount
Your credit amount is the total amount we received from you when you originally
registered for all 2020 events minus any amount you may have already used
on our 2021 events. Your credit amount does not include any
sales tax or RaceRoster.com processing
fees you
may have paid when originally registering in 2020 (more information about
taxes and processing
fees listed below).
Your credit amount will never expire. We want you
to be able to participate in our events when it's convenient for you, whether
it's this year or any time in the future. We will not take your money without
having the opportunity to provide you the service
you have already paid for.
Promo Codes
Every individual participant will receive a unique promo code with a value
equal to your credit amount which you will use in RaceRoster.com at checkout.
You can use your promo code in the following ways at no additional cost:
- To register yourself for any Bicycle Illinois or Bike Wisconsin event,
service or merchandise item we offer, even if it was not the one you
had originally signed up for in 2020.
- To transfer your registration to someone else. You may give your unique
promo code to anyone else for them to use when they register, effectively
transferring your registration
to them. Unfortunately, we cannot assist you finding someone to transfer
your registration to and you cannot use any Bicycle Illinois or Bike
Wisconsin social media platform to promote a transfer opportunity.
Please note that you will receive a new promo code for the
2022 season. All promo codes issued for the
2021 season have expired (but not the
credit amounts
themselves) and are not valid any more.
Price Schedules, Dates, and Deadlines
We will honor the original pricing schedule from the 2020 season for all
postponed participants who did not re-register for one of our events in
2021. This pricing schedule includes both the event registration fee as
well as all other extra services and merchandise items such as transportation
services, towel service, and the mechanical support plan. The pricing schedule
for 2020 postponed participants is listed under the "Prices and Deadlines" information
for each specific event online, and has discounted rates and extended registration
deadlines from our current price schedule. Unfortunately, we can only allow
postponed participants to register for an event at the original 2020 pricing
schedule once.
At this time we cannot determine the best way to honor the original pricing
schedule for postponed participants of our RAGBRAI transportation service
from the 2020 season. This is because we will not know how the pricing
for the 2022 season will compare to the rates from 2020 until after the
RAGBRAI route is announced on Jan. 29th, 2022. However, at this time we
will at least guarantee that a seat will be available for every previous
registrant of our RAGBRAI Transportation Service from 2020 until March
15th, 2022.
If you register for an event at a lower rate than you did
in 2020 (such as if you register earlier), you can keep the difference
as a remaining
credit amount that will never expire. You can then redeem that credit amount
as a discount to any other event, service, or merchandise item we offer
at the current event pricing level. For example, if you had originally
registered for an event at $479.00 in 2020 and register for the same event
at $429.00 this year, you will still have a $50.00 remaining credit amount.
Individual Information
If you still have a credit
amount remaining from 2020 you will receive an
individual
email
listing your name, credit amount, a unique promo code to use when
registering online through RaceRoster.com, and the current access code
to register at the price schedule from 2020 if you did not re-register
for one of our events in 2021. If you do not receive this email please
contact us
immediately
and we will promptly resend you this information.
If you believe your credit amount is incorrect, please let
us know and we will promptly look into it for you.
2020 Participant Registration Categories and Access
Codes
If you did not re-register for one of our events in 2021,
you should use the special sub-events on RaceRoster.com labelled "for
postponed 2020 participants only" to register at the 2020 pricing
schedule. These sub-events will initially be grayed
out and have a blue icon with a white closed lock next to them that says "ACCESS
CODE ONLY" in order to prevent the general public inappropriately
using them. You will need to enter the access code included in the email
you receive from us before you can select
them. If you did not receive this email please contact
us immediately and we will resend you this information.
You should enter this access code into the field under "Unlock access
code-only sub events" in the upper right hand part of the form and then
click the black button labeled "Validate". After the access code
has been accepted, the sub-event will become available by turning black and
the lock icon next to it will become green, the white lock will become open,
and will say "UNLOCKED".
If
you did re-register for one of our events in 2021, you
will not receive the access
code above since you cannot
re-register for another event at the original 2020
pricing schedule. However you can still
use your remaining credit as a discount for any event at the current
pricing schedule.
Registration and Promo Code Usage
After you select the appropriate sub-event for postponed 2020 participants
you should complete the registration form.
At the bottom of the registration form, you should enter your
unique promo code included in the email you received from us into the field
under "Enter
promo code or gift code". This will apply your credit value to your
registration as appropriate.
DO NOT ENTER YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION INTO THE
ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM IF YOU DO NOT EXPECT ANY ADDITIONAL CHARGES. Contact us for help instead. Individual
promo codes may only be used once. If you do not use your full credit
amount, we will issue you a new promo code with a value equal to your
remaining credit amount since your initial promo code will no longer
be valid.
We
will track and verify the usage of all credit amounts, promo codes,
and sub-events for postponed 2020 participants to ensure they have
been used properly. If there are any problems, if we have any questions,
or if we do not properly receive
any additional amount due we may follow up with you, and we reserve
the right to refuse any registration
if
it has
been
completed
improperly. We will not issue any refunds at any time for any reason after
you use your credit value to register. If you do not participate and would
like a refund you MUST purchase an individual travel insurance plan, which
will reimburse you according to the plan coverage.

Taxes, Processing Fees and Add-Ons
Even though you will register online, you will not pay any taxes or additional
RaceRoster.com service fees for any total amount that is less than or equal
to your credit amount because you already paid these when you originally
registered.
If your total amount is more than the value of your credit
amount you will be responsible to pay any additional amount due on your
own. You will also need to pay any applicable taxes and additional RaceRoster.com
processing fees on the additional amount, but not on any amount already covered
by your credit amount.
For example, let’s say you have a credit value of $429.00.
While registering for a full tour with a price of $429.00 you decide to add
the additional towel service for the full tour for $36.00 for a total
amount of $465.00. After using your promo code, you would still need to pay
the additional $36.00
yourself as well as taxes (if applicable) and the RaceRoster.com processing
fees on the additional $36.00. However you would not need to pay taxes and
the RaceRoster.com processing fees on the full amount of $465.00.
