If you are interested in shipping your boxed bike to and/or from any of our tours, Blue Steel Bikes will help take care of all the details!

When you ship your bike to them before the start of the tour you should have it professionally packed at your local bike shop which will cut down on possible damages. You should also include return postage on the box – they prefer UPS if possible. Feel free to put items such as helmets, shoes, and clothing in the box as long as it is not overloaded.

You should ship your bike to their shop in La Crosse with at least a week lead time for them to unpack it and get it built up and ready for your tour. They will also look over your bike and give it a basic tune up to ensure a week free of any unforeseen mechanical problems. If there are any issues that need to be addressed, they will contact you before any work begins. There may be additional charges for labor and parts as necessary. Bikes should be in good working order when they receive them. They will then transport your bike from La Crosse to the starting location of the tour.

After the end of the tour your bike will be driven from the back to the shop in La Crosse where it be wiped down and repacked, reusing your previous packing materials. This may take a few days, plus shipping time. Their top priority is getting your bike home, safe and sound.
