Bike Wisconsin® Tour Assistant
Assist with the smooth running operation of three weeklong bicycle tours throughout Wisconsin. Provide help with tent, towel, chair and motel luggage valet services on tour. Perform preparation and cleanup duties before and after the tours.
Duties:
On-tour
Help with rider registration
Staff the Rider Services table each day
Answer customer questions
Motel Luggage Shuttle service
Collect and move customers luggage to daily motels
Supervise volunteer Rider Services assistant
Drive Motel Rider Services truck
Tent service
Supervise and help community groups take down tents
Ensure tent setup is in a numbered, clean and organized layout
Help pack tents, chairs into truck
Keep tents and chairs organized, numbered and clean
Supervise volunteer Rider Services assistant
Drive Rider Services truck between overnight sites
Towel service
Collect towels and keep fresh towels on hand
Hand off dirty towels to volunteer groups
Between tours
Various duties to get ready for the tours i.e. cleaning gear, stocking supplies, running errands
Various office duties
Requirements:
Must be detailed and maintain a professional and friendly manner.
Good communication, organizational and customer service skills
Excellent computer skills.
Must be friendly, organized, positive and open to performing a variety of tasks.
Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
Must be 21 years old by June 17, 2011 and hold a valid drivers license.
Dates of employment: June 6 – August 12, 2011
Must be available to go out of town:
June 17-25, July 8-15 and July 29-August 5, 2011
We are located on a bus line and are on the bike-friendly near eastside of Madison.
