Fly-in Staging Area Shuttle

For those of you flying into Madison WI or need a ride to the staging area in Prairie du Chien we will again offer the Fly-in Staging Area Shuttle.

FLYING INTO MADISON
We'd advise you to fly into Madison on Friday, June 15. This leaves yourself plenty of time in case of a delayed flight. We recommend flying into and out of the Dane County Regional Airport (MSN). This is the closest airport with the best connections.

There is an airport shuttle from Dane County Regional Airport to the Best Western InnTowner,  2424 University Avenue, Madison, WI 608-233-8778.
This is the Official Fly-in Staging Area Shuttle pickup and dropoff point. If you are staying at another motel, you should make arrangements to arrive by the departure time. We suggest that you make your reservations early as motels will fill up in Madison.

FOR THOSE NOT FLYING
The Fly-in Staging Area Shuttle pickup will be in front of the Best Western InnTowner. You should make arrangements to arrive by the departure time.

The Fly-in Staging Area Shuttle will drive, (people and luggage, no bikes), to the staging area on Saturday, June 16. It departs at 7 am sharp. It is about a 2 hour drive. We will also take you, your luggage, no bikes back to Madison at the end of the tour on Saturday, June 23. We should arrive back in Madison by about 9pm at the latest.
The round trip Staging Area Shuttle fee is $100 per person.

YOU WILL NEED TO SHIP YOUR BIKE  
Bicycles will not be accepted onto the Fly-in Staging Area shuttle. Bicycles need to be shipped via UPS to Capital City Transfer, 204 Industrial Drive, Verona, Wisconsin, 53593. Capital City Transfer is the ontour luggage transport that will be supporting the tour. They will bring your bike to the Tour Start in Eagle River. They will hold on to the bike boxes during the tour. Bikes will be accepted at the Capital City facility between June, 7-14 only. Update 3/2/12 There is a $25 fee, payable to Capital City Transfer. Bikes can be assembled at the Tour Start in Eagle River by the on-tour mechanics Wheel & Sprocket for a fee. Capital City Transfer will hold onto your bike boxes for the duration of the tour.

At the end of the tour, bikes can be handed over to Wheel and Sprocket and they will box them up in their original box and ship the bikes out UPS. (A prepaid shipping label must be provided.) Questions, email Liza at liza.leclaire@wheelandsprocket.net.

Note: You must make your own motel reservations and pre-register for the shuttle.  No day-of-event signups will be allowed.  We must have an exact count of the people on the shuttle.
