GETTING TO STAGING TOWN: ORANGE, FRANCE

Plan so you arrive in Orange by 5pm on the first day of the tour. We will do a short tour of the town and then head to dinner.

France has good train connections. Two popular options to get to the staging town:
Option 1
Fly into Nice, France

Taxi: To Nice-Ville train station
Train: From Nice-Ville train station to Avignon TGV suburban station  about 3 hours
Shuttle bus: From Avignon TGV suburban station to Avignon Centre-Ville station, about 15 minutes
Train: From Avignon Centre-Ville Station to Orange  @15 min
Taxi: To Hotel

Option 2
Fly into Paris, France, Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG).

Train: Paris TGV station at CDG airport to Avignon TGV station suburban  @ 3 hours
Shuttle bus: From Avignon TGV suburban station to Avignon Centre-Ville station, about 15 minutes
Train: From Avignon Centre-Ville Station to Orange  @15 min
Taxi: To Hotel

Depending on your flight connections and train connections you may decide to stay an extra day or two in Paris or Nice. This makes a nice addition to the tour. **Please take into consideration that flights have been and may be delayed when you make your train reservations.
