Who is giving this money away and why?
The fund from which this money is drawn was established in 1992 as a memorial to Weston Wood by his family and many friends, under the sponsorship of the Dane County Bicycle Association. An Assistant Attorney General of the State of Wisconsin for more than 30 years, Wood was also an avid bicycle tourist who continually encouraged and inspired newcomers to the sport. The fund is meant to continue his legacy of support for bicycle touring by offering awards annually. In 2010, youth are encouraged to use the award to participate on the GRABAAWR®, SAGBRAW® or the Bike Northwoods Tour.
Notes
Awards are for the 2010 GRABAAWR®, Bike Northwoods tour or SAGBRAW® bike tours only. Youth ages 8-17 are eligible and must have a parent or guardian bike with them on the tour for the entire. The Awards are for tour fees only and do not include options, i.e. motorcoach, meal plan, etc. Maximum of 1 award per applicant per year.
Good luck!
