Youth Bike Helmet Give-Away Program

It is our hope that we can encourage and inspire youth to discover how much fun they can have on a bicycle. So, we created a Youth Bike Helmet Give-Away Program. 

All Host Town’s on the tours will receive free bicycle helmets to distribute to community youth. Presentation of the helmets will happen during the press conference at the overnight school typically at 7:15 PM each day. Children will be measured for the correct size helmet and information will be provided about bicycle safety.

Some communities have used this opportunity to organize a Bike Rodeo!

We encourage all communities to get involved in the Wisconsin Bicycle Friendly Community Initiative and the Wisconsin Safe Routes to School Program to improve the facilities for biking in your communities.
