bring our ‘Water Buffalo’ on every tour. The Water Buffalo is a mobile source of filtered water so that YOU have fresh cool water at every water stop, every day of every tour. Hydration is good!
Because we believe that a great tour experience will last a lifetime, we offer our First Time Rider Program. Before each ride we take time to answer questions about what a day on tour will be like. We also offer tips on safety, group riding, nutrition, hydration and more. We believe a confident, happy biker will always look forward to their next tour.
Because giving back to Wisconsin communities is wonderful, we sponsor the Best Rest Stop and Overnight Awards. Communities that go that extra mile to make riders feel welcome (as voted by the riders) receive a bike rack to place anywhere in their village.

that you may ever meet. Whenever you need a question answered or any type of assistance, one of our staff or volunteers is sure to be nearby with a smile and a helpful word.
Because our Nightly rider meetings provide YOU with the updated information you need while on tour. Whether it is details on detours or route changes for the next day or the schedule for an upcoming entertainment event, our lively, nightly meetings have them.
Because our daily Info Table is staffed and open from 1-5 & 6-9PM to serve your every need. If you are picking up your fresh towel service or comfy camper chair, cell phone needs charging, need directions to town, seeking news about a sagged in riding buddy or any other inquiries, the volunteers and staff at the Info Table are happy to assist.
Because your safety on the road is our # 1 priority, we have the Big
Blue Communication Bus. Our enhanced route communication system, utilizing local HAM radio operators, insures that – even in the most remote areas of the north woods – we will be able to radio to our mobile SAGs in the event of any medical, safety or weather emergency.
Because safety is our #1 priority, we provide a FREE Safety Fanny triangles for every youth on our tours. Bike Wisconsin® wants YOU to be more visible while out on the route AND while you are biking on the streets and highways around your home town.
Because we all need time to share the great experience of our ride together,Bike Wisconsin® is delighted to host a Celebration Lunch at the end of each tour. The Free, post-tour lunch provides a perfect time to relax with new and old friends, exchange contact information, and make plans for next summer’s tour.
Because as a biker you want to know where services are, we list 
Rest Stops, Water Stops and Restaurants on the cue sheets. If you are hungry or thirsty, you will always know how far you are from the next oasis. And if there is some special attraction… we’ll note that too.
Because food is very important to riders, Bike Wisconsin® offers a Meal Plan Option. As an option, convenient, tasty, and nutritious breakfast and dinners will be available at each overnight site. These delicious meals are prepared by local school or civic groups and have become a generous fundraising event in each of the over-night communities.
Because we’re a Green Cycling event, we provide Onsite recycling stations for collecting cans and bottles. Working with local communities, we hope to reduce the carbon footprint, reduce waste, and encourage recycling.
Because we want to help you prevent injury, we offer free Stretching or Yoga Classes on tour. We know that limbering up in the morning and warming down in the afternoon help avoid injury.
Because safety is priority #1 and we love giving back, we sponsor a Youth Bike Helmet Give-Away in every overnight community. Bike Wisconsin® hands out free bike helmets for the youth in each town we stay in. We hope to encourage more youngsters to ride bicycles and to practice safe biking habits by always wearing a bike safety helmet.
Because safety is one of our major concerns here at Bike Wisconsin,
we have developed on On-Route Weather Flag System. On each of our SAG vehicle and at each water stop, we display a color coded flag which represents a weather condition on the route. If threatening weather approaches, this warning system will alert riders along the road, enabling them to take precautions if necessary. It’s great to be outside, but even better to be aware of changing conditions.
Because communications is a KEY in the event of an emergency, Bike Wisconsin has an On route message system in place. If you need to get a message out to a friend or fellow rider, our system can relay that message along the route. There is nothing quite as comforting as knowing you can contact a loved one when necessary.
Because we understand the value of your cell phones, blackberries, iPods, netbooks and more, we provide a Cell Phone charging station on every tour. It’s no longer necessary to hunt down an available electrical outlet. The plug-in phone charging station will be located near the Info Table every day. Now you can stay charged up and in-touch with all your friends.
Because we know you love your cool, clear, water… we provide a
Water Spigot with unlimited filtered water at every overnight stop. No more trying to squeeze your water bottle or camel back under a school water fountain (or waiting in line!). Our nifty water spigot will be located in an open area outside for convenience, with gallons of cool, cool water to keep you healthy and hydrated.
Because we like to keep track of your valuable items, we’ve implemented a Secure procedure for high value lost and found items. From keeping track of when you lost it to keeping the ‘found’ item in a safe place ‘til you get it back, we take lost and found very seriously.
Because we dislike cold showers as much as anyone, we have a Shower Truck at every overnight stop on every tour. Now hot showers are guaranteed for every biker.
Because emergencies occur at any hour of the day or night, Bike Wisconsin offers 24 Hour Staff On Call. Just look for the blinkie light on the designated staff person’s tent and we’ll be happy to assist.
Because you deserve a little help getting your gear to your camp
site, we arrange a Red Wagon Service at each over-night site. Run by a local town or school group, the Red Wagon brigade will move your luggage and camping gear from the trucks to your camp site. This service provides a fundraising opportunity for community groups.
Our Pre-Ride Dance Party will get you charged up for your ‘vacation on two wheels.’ We firmly believe that a little soft-shoe-shufflin’ is a good way to get warmed up for a week of biking. Get to know your ride partners - on and off the dance floor!
Because our Luggage Teams will save your back and help you conserve your energy for cycling. Each day a town or school group will assist with loading and unloading the gear from the luggage trucks, providing another great fundraising option.
Because we offer a variety of tour options like 
Deluxe Tent Service, Fresh Towels and Easy Camp Chairs. While on vacation you might want just a little bit more to make it a little ‘cushier.’ Go ahead, pamper yourself!
Because we think everyone deserves ice cream, and you can’t get much better than here in the Dairy State, we offer an Ice Cream Social on each ride. Celebrate birthdays on tour and get to know your fellow ride-mates while sampling some cool, sweet treats.
Because we like to make it easier for you find your luggage in the 
huge mountain of bags, we lay your Luggage Out By Number. No more losing your bags in a mile long row of duffels. Find the row number that corresponds to your bag/rider number and you’ve found it. Five fewer minutes searching… five more minutes in the shower (ahhhhh)
Because we offer a Volunteer Medical Director in case you need a quick consult. Each day after the nightly rider meeting, you can meet with and ask our volunteer medical director any questions or concerns that may arise during your ride. It’s good to know there is someone who will listen.
Because we offer Better Signage on the Route. At Bike Wisconsin we utilize re-useable stick-in-the-ground signs which provide better visibility for riders and volunteers. We place markers before each turn and a confirming marker after each turn. Re-useable signs, which are better for the environment, eliminate the need for toxic pavement-marking paints.
Because we care for your valuable bicycles, we use a special Sagged Bike Tagging System. If you have to sag in during the day, our volunteers will carefully tag your bike and place it in a safely guarded location until you are able to retrieve it. We love your bikes!
Because delivering the message is key, we offer a Large on-site message board at every site.
Find out the latest news, weather, route changes, theme day and entertainment listings and leave messages for other riders, too. Our message board is a great place to hang out and socialize.
Because Theme Days are Fun! On each tour we offer several 
Theme Days so riders can let their hair down and get crazy! Krazy Helmet Day, Hawaiian Day, North Woods Day and others allow riders to get creative, colorful, and funny. Hey, you’re on vacation… you can get goofy!
Because we are serious about Security! We have an On-Site and on-road Security plan and Security Coordinator on tour. Trouble and emergencies can happen at any time, so we keep our eyes and ears open
Because we are serious about hygiene and infection protection, Bike Wisconsin® has an Extensive Sanitation Program in place at each overnight site and on route. Making sure that you stay healthy so you can ride worry-free is our goal.
Because we offer the best on tour communication via our network of HAM radio operators.
Because you love to know the routes (and love your GPS!), we offer Online Links to Daily Route Maps. Now you can preview the routes before the tours and even download them into your GPS. Check the elevation and see if you’ve ridden the county highway before. We LOVE maps!
